I started looking at this because I don't have a full 3 feet in length area for my keyboard and mouse. I needed something. little shorter. I saw some reviews on it and it was the right size, so I got one. I am so glad I did. It is nice and thick. It is well made. The material is comfortable.
If this fits your work area, you should strongly consider it. I let a family member test mine out for a bit and they immediately asked me to order one for them. It is really nice.
