- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2018They work great. Sucks that button holes sizes are never mentioned anywhere. had a hard time getting the holes done, especially in the us where we don't have metric bits commonly available. My kit came with two missing buttons, sent a few letters to the seller who seemed hard to reach. they never responded or addressed my issue, but a couple weeks later i received two buttons in the mail which was nice. So they still took care of it. I'm really happy with this kit so far and will be buying more. PS. Some kind of connection chart/guide would be nice to help figure out which button goes where more easily. Good value for the price.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2019switched are not mechanical as I thought they would be, partial presses set them off before it clicks so i would not recommend for any competitive games but still fun for older stuff or button mashers.
the joysticks are x and y access only and the timing of the click and the input are lined up well unlike the buttons
overall its a fun project kit for making a joypad/ arcade setup but if your looking for high quality/ responsiveness, maby try another one, invest in a nice one for that

- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2018These gaming controllers are awesome!. These controllers are for my IoT Lab, I already have set the Pi and the monitor for the video gaming, just that I'm currently playing with the keyboard and mouse, so I thought it would be a better option if I had the Controllers, that way it's much easier to build and play the video games.
The most interesting thing is, this has two controllers rather than one, now I have a separate gaming section in my new house, where I have both my PS4 and this video gaming console. The buttons are rigid, they give you enough buttons and it's solidly built, so I would definitely recommend you to buy these controllers if you are interested in building your gaming station.
They round controllers are the best part for multi-direction and movement of the character. The most important thing is there is nothing hard to set it up, it's all there, all you need to do is just connect those little plugs, buttons and screw them together, you are all set. Next, you just need to configure your Pi to use those controllers, there are hundreds of tutorials to use the same.
Overall, I feel this a worthy product to buy, if you are really interested in building your own video gaming console.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 20181.The packaging is sub par. Multiple output pins significantly bent and damaged on the buttons and joysticks
2. The Joysticks are the "clicky"kind and make me think they are relays (ie on / off) which will not work for several arcade or emulation games.
3. The buttons are convex rather than concave (my fault for not looking closer) like normal arcade buttons
4. The buttons are inadequate for mounting on plywood without glue. There is no long threaded barrel as you may have seen on some youtube how to vidoes for making an arcade game. Again that was my fault for not looking closer.
Overall they are getting dinged for poor packaging. I will tinker with them for the heck of it, but troubleshooting will be difficult since I won't be sure if it's defective due to damage in shipping or a mistake on my part.
If looking to make an arcade style game with a raspberry pi or other emulation idea, I suggest you look elsewhere. I will be.

I ordered this and another one in a different color and am working on a fun project. Totally recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2019I bought these as a mod for my arcade 1up cab. I honestly think I prefer the stock controllers better. If you play any fighting games, beware of this product. Half the time you will not be able to jump forward or backward. Crouch blocking is just as bad. Forget about throwing a fireball consistently. Both of my joysticks have the same problem.
