It’s a painus in the anus to get this to work
It works for my pc after i updated it to 1.26, every time i attempt to update it to version 4 or 3 the update fails. It won’t connect to my ipad, possibly because i update it on a dell so maybe it depends on what launcher version you have? Idk, either way I’m pretty bummed this thing wont connect to iOS. If anybody wants to send me a link to another the update send it my way. The company should really just send these things out with the latest update preinstalled. It works on switch fine tho, so that’s cool I guess.

I have been using this controller for about a week, and I am having no issues with connection, lag, and joysticks getting stuck like others have.

If you do have an issue it does not take long for Amazon to do an exchange (free shipping on defective item plus free shipping on replacement item), so make sure you update the firmware immediately, then do some testing with multiple devices, and game play in general.

I also bought a SF30 Pro, and had to have that replaced because of d-pad issue.

That controller is, also, very nice, but the d-pad does not feel quite as solid as the SN30 Pro (it feels like the plastic on the SN30 Pro is closer to the cutout for the d-pad which makes it feel more solid when using it).

Overall, I would say to make sure you do a firmware upgrade as soon as you get the controller (as long as it is charged), and do some testing immediately.

If you have any issues, then just do a product exchange (only took 2 days to get my replacement controller).

I would recommend this to anyone who wants a classic Super Nintendo controller feel with modern controller options.

As a side note, I have NOT tried the turbo button functionality as I am not sure if I am doing it correctly on the devices that I am using my controller for (Android and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B).

I am reaching out to 8bitdo to make sure I am doing everything correctly, so I will try to edit this review with more information.

Lastly, I have very large hands, and this controller is VERY comfortable to use.

Not to mention my 8 year old can hold the controller comfortably as well.

Overall, this is a great controller, and a great buy!

I was intrigued to get these because I was looking for something with less lag input than my Wii U Pro (which are great controllers for retro gaming) controllers for my Pi's using Retropie for gaming. The design was perfect for use as a retro game pad since the collection I have works great with the button layout I have. I love the 2 extra buttons that register within Mame and Emulation Station. My only complaint is the standby feature. My Wii U Pro's will power off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Then all I have to do is push the a button and they sync right up with my Pi's. The SN30 will not power down. And if I force it to shut off, when I turn it back on, it will not sync back up. I consider this minor since it was not explicitly designed to work with the Pi. I highly recommend these if you're planning to use these as retro gamepads. I'm buying 3-4 more of these to cycle into my RetroPi collection.

Ok, so far this is one of the best controllers I've used. Every function of it works great! It's been tested on shovel knight, Mario maker, sonic mania, crash team racing, splatoon 2, and Mario odyssey. For games with a more retro feel, I cant imagine a better controller, d pad is solid and feels like the original SNES controllers, and the face buttons feel perfect and are very responsive. For crash team racing, I actually use the dpad for racing because when I played on the ps one, I did not own a dual shock. Shockingly it works great here as well! The bumpers actually being great for the drifting mechanic! Splatoon is where I had my hiccup. It works for splatoon, the motion control is actually great, shockingly tight! it's just not meant for a shooter though. Mario was kind of a similar issue, motion works great but just not suited for the controller. Would probably be good for Mario kart though.

The controller paired and connected to my PC via Bluetooth without issue, but would not respond to any input, even after updating firmware. USB connection didn't fix this, nor did the other connection methods (Android, etc). After nearly two hours of troubleshooting online, I finally managed to get the controller to register inputs... the wrong inputs. I tried all connection modes and each one produced inputs mapped to the wrong buttons. (I own a few other bluetooth gamepads, and this is the only one that has given me these issues.)

That said, the controller works well enough with my Switch (though the connection tends to drop every now and then). Unfortunately, I specifically bought this to serve as a multipurpose controller, so it's next to useless for me.

My only issue with this controller is the overall size. I have large hands so it is very uncomfortable to hold this thing tightly for more than one hour. I wish they would make it a bit bigger.

Other than the aparatus being a bit on the small side, it's a great nostalgic piece of tech.

Fantastic little controller. Been using it to play thru breath of the wild and it's been great. Battery life on it seems to be pretty good too as I'm not finding I need to charge it very often, which is nice. I used to play the SNES when I was a kid and this controller is such a throwback as well. The analog sticks don't feel out of place as well as the updated trigger buttons. I highly recommend this, even of you're not looking for nostalgia.

Just like the SN30, the SN30 PRO is a well made, great product. This controller works great for me because I can use it on my switch or use my 8bitdo retro receiver and sync it to my snes classic. The controller is a bit small but it's also intended to be a duplicate of the the SNES controller with the optional buttons and analog sticks to use for modern day gaming. Love this controller.
