I love it. It was waaay bigger than I thought, which I love because I want the old school feel. The cord is long enough that you don't have to sit close to the TV but I will be purchasing a longer HDMI cord for my switch because I want super long distance. The only thing I wish was different was the joystick motion is kind of like a square or cross movement not a straight circle. I don't know how to explain it but I guess a true gamer will get what I mean. But I think I can get used of that if I keep using it continuously. Anyway I still love love it and highly recommend .

    I've had a lot of arcade controls over the years, including an X-Arcade Tankstick that still works perfectly after 20 years. Don't be dissuaded by all of the people who say it needs upgraded controls, new out of the box this is a very good arcade stick. For the price, it's an excellent arcade stick.

    This is weighted so it doesn't slide around during normal use. It's got great settings to change the USB protocol so it's compatible with a wide range of devices. I'm currently using it as a arcade stick for my Sega Genesis with a Brook adapter to use USB controls with original Genesis consoles. It even works great like that.

    I bought this fight stick to use with my Nintendo Switch, mainly for shmups, with the plan of upgrading the joystick and the buttons. I considered buying the Mayflash 300 Elite with Sanwa parts, but I wanted a Seimitsu LS-40 joystick (shorter throw, smaller dead zone). I'm writing this review to help folks who are looking to make similar mods.
    This F101 stick doesn't get mentioned much when you research arcade sticks, but as far as I can tell it's just as easy to mod as the F300 and F500 sticks, it just doesn't have a few of the features like headphones jack, etc.
    In order to upgrade the buttons/joystick you just need to remove 6 screws and pop the back plate off. Inside you'll find eight 30mm snap-in style buttons, which I replaced with Seimitsu PS-14-G buttons. Remove the two wires from the old button by carefully pulling on the wiring clips/connectors--mine took a lot of force to come loose FYI, be smart/careful, these are delicate parts. Pop the new button in and push/snap the connectors on. I suggest doing one button at a time so you don't get the wiring confused. Pro tip, take a picture before you start so you have a reference of how things were configured in stock form, just in case you get confused along the way somehow.
    The joystick is a bit trickier than the buttons, but still very easy to do. I bought a Seimitsu LS-40-01 stick because of the shorter throw and small dead zone (very little slop), but you'll choose whichever suits you. Either way, you'll need a joystick with an SE mounting plate (flat plate). The only issue I ran into was that I forgot to buy the 5-pin to 5-pin wiring harness/cable. My joystick came with a 5-pin wiring harness, but that's not the same. The included wiring harness has a 5-pin connector on one end, and then 5 loose wires on the other end. What you need is a cable that has female 5-pin connectors/clips on both ends, and it plugs right into the PCB inside the joystick. You'll also need to consider which way is up/down on the joystick, so maybe test it before closing everything back up. For the LS-40 joystick I used, the 5-pin connector clip should be facing the 8 buttons, but your joystick may differ.
    As far as swapping the actual joystick, you'll need to clip the zip tie that bundles all of the wiring together, remove the 8-pin connector from the PCB (just pulls out with a tug), remove the joystick ball top using a flat screwdriver to keep the joystick from spinning while you unscrew the ball, then unscrew the 4 phillips screws from the mounting plate.
    The only issue I ran into is that my joystick was ever so slightly too deep/tall for the inside of the enclosure. When I put everything back together and screwed the metal bottom plate onto the enclosure, my joystick was not free to move--the bottom of the joystick was actually rubbing on the metal baseplate/bottom of the enclosure. If you end up with this same issue (depends on your joystick choice) you'll need to add a small washer to each of the 6 screws that hold the bottom plate onto the enclosure. This will give just a bit more spacing which allows the stick to move about without rubbing.
    A few more things- this stick worked perfectly with my Switch right out of the box. Just make sure you have the sliders in the correct positions per the instructions that come in the box. The stock buttons are not bad at all, but they are clicky/loud. The stock joystick is just ok. It has a large dead zone compared to my upgrade, but could be fine for casual players. Also worth mentioning, when used with Switch, the button labels are wrong. A and B are swapped, and so are X and Y. It didn't bother me at all but if you want to you can easily switch the wiring, or stick new labels on the joystick.

    I've been a fan of fighting games for 10+ years, and during all this time, I always played on controller. From Mortal Kombat to Street Fighter, and making a debut on Tekken 8 for the first time, the d-pad was never an issue. However, after watching some videos, you can't stop but wonder how the experience on arcade stick would be... and to get itch off, you should definitely get this one:

    1. Affordable: If you look at the big brands, you won't get a stick for less than $150.
    2. Quality: It feels sturdy, the built is solid and the buttons feel great. The only down sight is that is has a matte finish, so get ready to wipe those marks.
    3. Accessibility: Plug and play! (at least if you're on PC). The stick even comes with a type-c adaptor!

    If it's your first time getting a stick (like myself), there is going to be a small learning curve, especially when it comes to movement, but it's both fun and satisfactory to learn it.

    In short: a 10/10 product. Couldn't be happier!

    Out of the box the stick worked fine. I used the usb-c adapter that it came with and plugged it into my laptop and it worked fine for about 10~20 minutes. I saw there were extra buttons and clicked the 'home' button and it opened the game menu in Windows. understanding that, I had pressed it again in an atempt to close the menu. Which resulted in my laptop screen turning black but not the extra screen. That being said I couldn't see anything moving on my screens.

    I pressed the home button again and both screens became black. I was able to lock and unlock my laptop with the only indicator being the border of the screen changing color when locked. I kept pressing the home button, turbo, anything to get a response but nothing helped it seemed that my laptop was still alive because I was listening to Spotify and had music playing and throughout the process it kept playing. On Spotify you can play music on one device and control it on another. Using my phone I pause the music, saw it had pause on my additional screen and un paused it.

    "Maybe it had crashed my PC?"

    I had restarted my laptop maybe 5 times and the problem was still there. It came back to life after about 10 minutes of being off. I'm scared to plug it in again, for if something worse could happen. I had thought I had bricked my machine. And would have to buy another $700 laptop.

    For now I will stick with Xbox One controllers and will not buy Mayflash or any fight stick for a while unless told buy a trustworthy person or a stick expert.

    Can injure your hands after long sessions of playing, to be exact first dorsal interosseous muscle, and when you lean your wrist on it, the problems to point out are the height of the unit and the joystick itself, also there’s a big gap between the joystick and the microswitches which can cause a huge delay for the movements, also there’s not enough space on the left side of the joystick which make using it very very uncomfortable because you can’t fully rest your other fingers while holding the stick, I consider them both the unit and the joystick are bad quality, and I would highly NOT recommend

    One thing makes annoyed is that there input type, etc is complicated and there is no clear manual about it. Games download from Steam has also different input style, so I guess part of it is because of that, but still complicated to have working input

    Compré este arcade stick para usar directamente con mi Nintendo Switch (también es compatible con PS3, PC y creo que Android, aunque no lo he probado) sin depender de adaptadores de terceros ni demás historias. Por el precio al que se vende, no se puede esperar componentes de altísima calidad pero lo cierto es que llevo semanas usándolo y no tengo queja alguna.

    La respuesta de botones y palanca es adecuada, no parece que se vayan a romper con un uso normal. Tiene modo turbo, y en cuanto al peso, me parece el equilibrio justo para darle estabilidad sin que se haga incómodo tenerlo en el regazo si es que quieres jugar desde el sofa. La base es metálica y lleva unas patas de goma bastante consistentes que evitan que se deslice sobre una mesa a poco que muevas las palancas o demás.

    Los jugadores más serios o hardcore seguramente quieran ir a por otro modelo de mayor calidad, pero para un jugador ocasional de arcades, o como segundo arcade stick para que jueguen amigos o invitados, este Mayflash F101 es una gran opción.

    Testato fino ad ora con Windows 11, Windows 7 e Android 7.0 (su Nvidia Shield Tablet K1) senza riscontrare nessun problema di compatibilità alcuno.
    Viene fornito in bundle con restrittore ottagonale e cavo adattatore OTG USB-C.
    Il firmware è aggiornabile, alla pagina web del produttore si trova comodamente tutto il necessario.

    This is the first stick I have bought and in terms of using it, it has been great. Feels very nice to use and easy to learn and pick up. It is perfect for someone that wants to try out a fight stick and not have to spend an arm and a leg on it. But there is one issue that seems to be very common with people that buy this product. If you use it for PC it seems to have connection issues, every time I go to plug it in it rapidly disconnects and you have to unplug it and plug it into multiple different USB cables to get it working, sometimes I have to change it only once, sometimes I have to change it 10 times. It can really get annoying when you just want to play but if you can be patient and get through the issue, this fight stick is 100% the right product for a person that wants a quality stick with good modding and affordable pricing.
