    Updated review: Bumped from 2 to 4 stars after figuring out the mode issues.
    This is for "2 Pack Wireless Gaming Controller, PC PS3 XBOX 360..", etc. (from EasySMX)

    PROS:
    - Good overall feel
    - Uses 2 AA batteries, so you can use NiMH rechargeables and a full charge can last something like a 20+ hours.
    - The batteries adds weight, which actually gives it a good feel.
    - Once the modes were figured out (use XINPUT mode, not XBOX 360), works great with PC
    - Option for XBOX 360 and Android
    - Wireless range is good (at least 30 feet)

    CONS:
    - Battery container is very tight on my controllers, some batteries don't fit
    - Modes are confusing and no way to understand them from the markings on the controller (must know it or keep the instructions) - They should just have 4 leds and write what each mode is on the casing, or something like that.
    - For the dual pack, there is a separate USB dongle for each controller, and you MUST use both dongles
    - No way to tell the controllers apart in software when both are connected

    THE CONTROLLER MODES:
    - First, go to "Set up USB Game Controllers" settings app (Windows 10), which will allow you to see all controllers that are connected, and through the "Properties / Test" mode, you can test the buttons and axes.

    XINPUT MODE:
    - To work with PC games you want XINPUT mode, with the "Mode" LEDs set to 1 and 2 (the 2 upper ones).
    - If not in this mode, press and hold the mode button for 5+ seconds to rotate through the modes until you get to it
    - In XINPUT mode, the 2 analog trigger buttons (on the "top/front" of the device, the larger trigger buttons underneath the other set) will correctly function as z-axis analog (in Xbox 360 mode they will be digital buttons), all the ABXY buttons will be mapped right, etc.

    XBOX 360 MODE:
    - Press for ~5 seconds and it will switch to XBOX 360 mode - which is NOT what you want, even though the drivers you need for PC are the Xbox 360 controller drivers.
    - The XBOX mode has 2 different sub-modes, if you just press the mode button without holding it will switch between these modes. I'm not sure the difference, but in one mode all the axes and button work (using the game controller settings app), they are just mismapped if you try to play games with them.

    ANDROID MODE:
    - Press the mode button for ~5 seconds when in XBOX mode and it will switch to ANDROID mode, with LEDs 3 and 4 (the bottom 2 LEDS) of the mode indicator lit
    - This allows the controller to work with Android via bluetooth (I think) - haven't tested this mode.

    OTHER NOTES:

    - battery area very tight, some of my rechargeables fit way too tight and ended up scraping the top coating of the batteries (the coating tore off in places, leaving large holes with a silver undercover showing) getting them out. Other batteries I have fit in okay, but even then it was tight. The tolerances here are way too tight.

    - You DO need to use BOTH usb dongles (if you bought the 2-pack, I think these reviews get mixed in with other devices), one per controller if this is showing up for the two-pack.

    - It's difficult to understand that XBOX 360 is not the correct mode - all the buttons and axes work in the settings app, but not in games (ABXY are mismapped, only 1 zxis work and it's inverted for y motion). Use XINPUT instead.

    When I first bought these in 2019 for use with my Steam games on the PC, they worked great. They really were plug and play right away. It has 4 modes it can be in: Xinput mode (desired default), Dinput emulation mode, Dinput digit mode, and Android mode. And at the start, it would always connect in the correct Xinput mode. However, after a while, when I would plug in the USB dongle and connect the controller, it would connect in Dinput emulation mode rather than the desired default Xinput mode. Moreover, when I try to hold the HOME button down for 5 seconds (or longer) to switch modes (as it says to do in the manual), it doesn't switch and stays in the undesired Dinput emulation mode. I tried to disconnect and reconnect the controller over and over again, but it stays in the Dinput mode. SOMETIMES, after trying all these methods repeatedly for 20 minutes, it MIGHT switch back to the desired default Xinput mode. The level of inconsistency in connectivity really makes me regret buying these. By the time I was able to play some games, I was so frustrated with the controller connectivity issues that it pulled from my gaming experience. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because when they work, they do work well and feel good, but that inconsistency is really frustrating.

    A couple months ago, I bough this controller, it was awesome!! Until both controllers started to develop a phantom drift. Both controllers became useless and would not allow me to press certain buttons or manage to move the joystick correctly. EVERYONE will eventually run into this so here's the fix!! Upvote in comments please!

    I found the fix, you have to delete the device drivers. They are located in device manager which you can search for in windows 10; you have to delete the items located in "Human Interface devices". Delete "HID compliant game controller" and all the "USB Input Devices" once you do this, plug in the dongle again. Since it is plug and play, the device will auto install the necessary drivers. Once this is done, the blinking light on the dongle should go away.
