Great for multi screen setup!! 4 year update

Great for multi screen setup!! 4 year update
Very good for the money got it on sale and with a $30 rebate. I am using these for my tri monitor set up and it looks great. Very slim bezel and very crisp quality. Pros: Great quality picture Slim bezel great for multi monitor setup. East to install stand Cons: I personally don't like that the buttons are on the back of the monitor but that's just me but on a good note the buttons being on the back allow it to have the slim bezel. I noticed a slight lean because I have more that one but there is an easy fix by leaning the other one against it to make it even with on another. The speakers aren't that great just FYI. I don't use them personally but just in case you were looking for good speakers in a monitor. You are better off getting a TV if you are going to use the speakers for your audio. Great recommend to someone that wants a 27" multi monitor setup. 4 Year update: one of the monitors developed a yellow vertical line. Sucks but they lasted a good while but 4 years monitors should be able to last longer especially when all they do is sit on a desk. I still love these monitors will most likely get another one to replace. They are much cheaper now.

Just bought two of these ASUS VN279Q monitors for a desktop dual-monitor setup. I also have the ASUS MX279H; totally love its display, dig its silver bezel, but, alas, no VESA mount! So, in a search for VESA-mountables, found this guy.

For the price, you can't beat this monitor. Bright, sharp, light, pretty much everything you are looking for in a standard monitor. I'm not a game, but photos, movies, and daily MS Office stuff all look fantastic.

Also, it turns out that I like the controls even better than the MX279H. The VN279Q buttons are actual physical buttons -- the MX has these goofy touch sensitive things that I accidentally bump all the time.

Paired these with a VIVO Dual Monitor Curved Horizontal Array Desk Mount (STAND-V002E) for $35 and am good to go.

One note, if you are installing these with a VESA mount, don't make the mistake I made. The screw holes (M4 screws, BTW) are plugged with these little rubber inserts. There is NOTHING in the documentation that tells you which screws to use, or that these little buttons are in there. I must have wasted an hour trying to get the screws tapped without damaging the monitor. Getting frustrated, I used a pencil to poke at it to figure what was up, and pop! Out comes the little rubber button, exposing perfectly simply M4 screw mounts. Sigh...documentation much Asus?

I agree with many of these reviews so there is not much more I can say. Ive had these for nearly 2 years (purchased Jan. 2, 2018) and they are performing very well. I am an ASUS fan and have had multiple products from them and have had superior performance from them all. My PC is basically an ASUS computer, and that is on purpose.

I do all the normal PC stuff and game quite a bit. This monitor looks great in every situation. I can't wait to run RDR2 in Nov. Im gonna crank up the graphics to ultra and ride!

My only gripe I guess is the speakers. I wouldn't plan to use them as a good source of sound. Not that many ppl use monitor speakers often, it is worth pointing out.

ASUS makes great products. This monitor is superb. DO not hesitate if on sale. Worth every dollar!

There's not a whole lot of reviews on this unit (on the internet) and since I wanted something to replace my 27" monitor with a smaller bezel, this seemed like the perfect fit. Since the AMVA+ panels seemed to be getting good reviews from reputable message boards, so I decided to go out on a whim and get it.

First thing, there is a variable amount of burn in time for the unit, and even that said, it's not a great unit for someone that doesn't enjoy calibrating it to perfection. However when I got it to settings I liked I was very impressed with the color and viewing angles, something that plagued my old HP 2709m. It's light and moves when asked too by my monitor arms (Even though my arms say their rated for 22" monitors). Also, the bezels, it's crazy thin.

The only thing I'd say could be a con is that the front of the button panel seems to get very warm to the touch, but I don't really have my hands on my monitor a whole lot.

For its price (which was 236 for me), this is a really neat display. Its slim bezel, and VESA mount makes it a good choice for multiple display.

Something worth noting is that this monitor utilizes AMVA+ panel instead of the more common AH IPS panel for monitors with wide viewing angles. Comparing to the IPS in similar price range I owned, it has darker and more uniform black (whereas many cheap IPS monitor has bleeding issue), but the color distortion from different viewing angle is more visible. If you are more tolerant to bland color than to bleeding, you should choose AMVA panel monitors like this one. (On the other hand, if you tolerant neither, you should go for a more expensive IPS)

It has HDMI, DP and VGA port, and comes with VGA, DP and a DVI-HDMI conversion cable. It is a bit weird as to me for not including an HDMI cable.

I attempted to be content with a similar monitor that was over 100 dollars cheaper than this one and I had to deal with some pretty awful image ghosting as well as the hassle of repackaging and getting it shipped back. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra bit to get something that you actually want. I have been very happy with the picture quality while doing simple editing for music production and for viewing videos (TV shows, music videos such as Carpenter Brut - Turbo Killer). I use the DisplayPort functionality that this monitor offers without issue.

This monitor is really good and here are some reasons

The quality is very nice once you turn off vivid pixel

This monitor is awesome for gaming

    The design is beautiful

Built in speakers (but if you are a gamer then you probably us headphones)

I purposely bought this monitor so i can record in a better resolution and for playing games this monitor is a perfect size also some might be thinking that because the monitor is big must mean the pixels are also big, but they are actually very small.

Though this monitor is not just for gaming it is also good for video editing, graphic designing, web browsing and lots of other stuff.

I would recommend this monitor to anybody.

So overall this monitor is very good and that is why I gave it 5 stars.
