Bought it didnt fit my nobilis (my fault) but custom built a pc where my mother has to have a graphics card to display cuz there are no display ports for 50 bucks amazong had some issues witha view games resolution not being able to go above 800×600 but after some trial and error loved it soon i hope to buy a better one but for now beautiful for gaming so far ive been able to run dragons dogma deadisland skyrim fallout with high res and frame rate
It is a functioning card. Of course isn’t the fastest thing out there, nor is it the slowest. Comes down to purchasing for your intended application. I wouldn’t purchase this card and complain when it doesn’t run crysis at max settings at 1080.
I am disappointed that the description said it included all the “brackets for fast set up” and I tore the box apart looking for it and it was not there. I read many reviews and read and reread the description to make sure I didn’t need to get one. But here we are a week later and now I realize I need one. Either i’m Missing it or the description needs to be adjusted.
Better then I expected, had to update my gateway I've had for about 10 years now. Good for the price and quality. I play only a couple PC games and its so much better then what I had before.
It's a fine framebuffer, but Linux performance is quite poor (I couldn't find a configuration with even adequate performance; things like moving windows around were rather sluggish, video playback did not appear to use any meaningful acceleration, etc.), at least on Debian Stretch. I've had better luck with a GT710 chipset card, which is a similar price and also fanless.
This card is currently doing suitable duty as a simple framebuffer on a FreeNAS box, but I wouldn't buy it for even desktop non-gaming use.
Tried installing this card on two different desktops and received an error both times. Each time the same error was received about a missing .dll file after install. Therefore you have no ability to manipulate graphics settings after installing the card. Tried installing software and drivers, both from the Asus website and from the disk provided, neither worked correctly.
This is a nice low profile card WITHOUT a low profile slot face - what on Earth was Asus thinking in producing something lacking such an obvious need. There are a number of cheaper cards that are standard profile only which I could have purchased but I needed a low profile card for my small mATX half profile chassis... The card does work fine but I had to mount it without it's slot bracket, making a poor looking keeper to insure the card doesn't pop out of it's slot...
I installed on my Dell Inspiron 3650, I wanted to upgrade from the on-board card and I needed a low profile card, This works perfect since my power supply is not strong enough for a higher up card. I'm happy with this card.
