This monitor stand is very sturdy and about the right size for a typical monitor.

One might think that the best thing about the space under the elevated stand is that it allows you to push things underneath it to clear up some desk space when you are not using your computer. But I found that the best thing about the elevated stand was that I could route various cords under it, from both the front and sides, so my desk is much tidier now and the cords are mostly out of sight.

Note the legs themselves are not adjustable per se. You either insert the legs directly into the bottom of the stand or you can fold down some plastic extensions from the bottom of the stand and insert the legs into the extensions. I didn't imagine selecting the height this way, but it works just fine.

Other that that, it works. It's a stand and you can put stuff on it. The forward-facing USB ports work (and the stand comes with a cable you plug into a recessed area on the bottom of the stand). I hesitated to spend the money to buy this product, but I am glad I finally made the purchase.

It is a good loooking stand, and the usb and audio ports are very convenient and the reason I bought it in the first place.

I won't give 5-star because the usb ports look very flimsily attached to the stand (which is plastic) and I have to be very careful when removing devices connected, because I am afraid I might detach the USB female connector from the stand.

Maybe is just an impression though.

Update: I removed 1 star because the dock bends. I have a 24" Dell Monitor (not as heavy as an imac by far) and the dock now has a clear curve on the center. The plastic is not strong enough.

This monitor stand is sleek and attractive, offers a couple different height options, and has several ports for convenience.

Unfortunately, the stand itself is flimsy and will not hold much weight. The listed 22 pounds is really its upper limit. Even at about 20 pounds, there will be noticeable rocking with any movement on the items sitting on it.

Additionally, the ports are a great idea for convenience, but unfortunately they just don't work well. Of the four USB ports, my unit had two that worked fully, one that worked just on the power pins, and one that doesn't work at all. The headphone jack is terrible and will not be used at all - the connection is extremely touchy and when I can get it to work, it is only mono. I have not yet tested the microphone jack but I do not have high hopes for it.

Obviously I cannot speak for the design of the stand to say if this is just a single defective unit or if they all suffer from these issues. However, the particular unit I received does not give a good impression of the brand.

There are likely cheaper options which will ultimately have similar functionality and better quality. I would recommend avoiding Satechi.

I got this after purchasing a 27" Asus MX27AQ monitor which doesn't have any height adjustments. With the monitor set on top of this stand, the height of the monitor is now perfect for me.

I was drawn to this stand for its design, two height adjustments, white color (to go along with my white desk), and useful extra ports (4x USB 3.0, 1x headphone, and 1x microphone).

The stand came nicely packaged and it was super simple to install. The directions are right on the exterior packaging and easy to follow.

With the aforementioned Asus MX27AQ monitor and 3 speakers on top of it, the stand is solid and exhibits no bending or flexing despite being made of light plastic. The aluminum legs are a nice touch but it is not high-quality aluminum. They feel somewhat hollow and not very dense. Kind of like the difference in aluminum quality found in mid-price smartphones versus flagship smartphones. But I wouldn't knock any stars for that. I just expected a bit more "premiumness" considering the price of this stand.

I immediately tested all the USB 3.0 ports and they all worked just fine.

I give it a 4 out of 5 b/c of its relatively high price. I would give it a 4.5 if I could. I feel that $30 would've been the ideal price. If there were alternatives to this stand from other companies with a similar design and features and a lower price, I would've passed on this one.
