Just what the headline says. I needed a solution to add a new cable box and center speaker to my existing TV stand. I originally thought I'd need to replace the whole stand, but the thought of spending hundreds of dollars filled me with dread. "If only there were a way to use this empty space," I lamented. Then it hit me: a monitor riser might work. I took some measurements, found this model online, and voila! For less than $20 I solved the problem - and it looks like it is part of the original design! I'm not getting the cable box until next week and the center speaker is still in the mail - but I'm happy and excited now!
As for the shelf itself - it came exactly as expected from the website. Pops together in minutes with a few screws. All you need is a Phillips head. Measurements and finish exactly as described. It fills its need perfectly. No, it's not high end furniture. It's a basic shelf. But if you need a basic shelf this size in black, then this is what you need.
