I wanted a particular height especially, and also length and width. The riser was easy to assemble and is sturdy for my purpose. It was shipped really fast. In my picture, the glass doors are not closed so that you could see the riser, but when all the glass doors are closed, the black riser disappears and all you see are the beautifully lit candles.

    The main reason I took off a star is that I ordered one of these a year ago, and got a second one from the same amazon URL because I wanted it to match the one I had, and apparently they've changed how they're made and the measurements are slightly different. There's enough "little" things different that I actually had to double check to make sure I got the right one, and it's just changed over time.

    It also comes in two separate pieces held together with a couple crossbars underneath, whereas before it was a single piece.

    It'll still work as a monitor stand, but I don't want to have to buy a 3rd so that I can have two matching ones, so now my monitors are just not level until I can go cut some small wood pieces to stick under the old one.

    We've had this about a week now. I didn't realise it was in 2 parts. There is a reinforcing part underneath attaching the two parts which helps make it more stable which is good. It's pretty sturdy. We actually have used it for a dolls house so it's easier height to play with and space under is handy too.
