Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2018Pattern: MonitorVerified PurchaseGreat monitor. This will be my first of two reviews as I’ve not had a chance to fully test the performance of the monitor. My boyfriend is building a computer for me and this was the monitor I chose. I picked this one first of all because of the 3ms refresh rate and the 144hz response. Most gaming monitors with both and that are curved are stupid expensive. Second I did read all the reviews. All of the good ones state that the overall performance was excellent. All of the negative reviews comment about missing parts. Parts can be replaced by calling the manufacturer or amazon so I chose to ignore these comments. My monitor came with an HDMI cable, mounting screws, screws for the base and a screwdriver that's actually pretty decent. The base is made out of what feels like a thin cast iron metal. It’s not flimsy but it’s not cast iron heavy. Its substantial and my monitor doesn't wobble. The screen itself it a matte finish and tilts up and down nicely. I did hook it up to my laptop via HDMI and it connected perfectly. The resolution was not perfect at first hookup. I did have to tweak the settings some to get it to my desired preference. The curve is nice and the screen is big. I’ve never had a 27” monitor. I like the fact that the monitor can be set on a timer to sleep if there’s nothing to be displayed and the PC is on. There is also an option to select on the degree of brightness for eye fatigue which is nice. I did turn on the AMD Freesync and will be testing that out soon.
I currently game on PS4 but will be moving over to PC shortly so this monitor will obviously be used for gaming. Most of the games I play are RPG’s, FPS and I regularly play FFXIV. As of now I’m sticking to giving this 5 stars as I’m happy with my purchase and I’d buy another. Once my gaming setup is complete and I’ve tested the monitors performance, I’ll update my review.
***Update 10/1/2018***
WOW, Such a perfect buy. This screen is amazing. The refresh rate blows my mind. I'm running this monitor with an Intel i5 processor, MSI z370-A Pro Motherboard and an ASUS GEFORCE GTX 1060 Graphic card. As soon as I have the room, I will be purchasing a second. My ONLY small complaint is that there is only 1 HDMI port. Lucky for me my graphics card supports 2 HDMI, 2 Display Ports and 1 DVI. So I was able to connect my PS4 via HDMI and my PC via Display Port with zero issues. But I won't be docking star for that.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2021Pattern: MonitorVerified PurchaseI've been using this monitor for the past month and I have been quite impressed for the price. Picture quality is good, brightness is adjustable, for gaming at 144hz is good. overall is very smooth when your computer is also running at those 140 fps. I've been playing COD, Fortnite, and Valorant and it has been very good. And having 27" for gaming isn't too much. I like it since I feel more immersed in the game since its also curved. Works great for normal stuff like work and school related things. No need to run dual monitors for those kind of things like I used to.
The only Con I would have is that the stand does not adjust up or down, just only angle. and my particular stand came missing with one of the rubber feet on the bottom. but that was an easy fix by just putting some folded up paper under it to make it level. Also regarding picture quality, it is good, but not as good as like a Macbook Pro screen. But it's still very good for the price.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2019Pattern: MonitorVerified PurchaseSo im gonna go over a few things real quick that I saw in the comments for complaints.
1. Versa mount not working.
The monitor comes with four shiny screws these screws go into the versa mount holes giving you clearance from the L shaped bracket on the back. I mean really people they have a SEPARATE instruction card just to let you know this.
2. Not getting 144hz
You have to go into you GPU (Graphics Card) control panel and MANUALLY change the Hertz to 144. YOU ALSO have to go into the monitor settings and change the monitor to 144Hz.
3. Dead pixels
If you have a cluster of dead pixels YOU CAN RETURN THE MONITOR. now that dosen't mean one dead pixel top right and one dead pixel bottom right they have to be in a cluster. You are buying a 170 dollar monitor it may have a few dead pixels my advice DO NOT look for them once you see them its game over. If you don't look for them you'll never see them.
Now some advice that could be helpful.
To get FreeSync to work with a Nvidia GFX you need to go download the bios updater from Nvidia. FreeSync only works with 10xx series and up. You need to then go into Nvidia control panel and activate g-sync compatible monitor (google it).
-DO NOT USE HDMI-
Use the Display Port cable that came with the monitor. You will not reach full 144hz with a HDMI.
Do not under any circumstances grab the monitor by its edges and lift the glass is very FRAGILE.
To clean this monitor use a micro fiber cloth if you have to wet a microfiber cloth ring it out and then wipe down very gently! This is a 170 dollar monitor treat it gently.
Over all this monitor is a steal for the price. Don't buy this expecting a 500 dollar gysnc chip 4k monitor in mind. For gaming this is GOOD for the price this is GOOD. It gets one star off of picture quality because its not as nice as some monitors but then again i wasn't expecting the moon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gaming monitor 27-inch curved with 144MHz refresh rate? Yes please.
Pattern: MonitorVerified PurchaseJust shy of 24 hours worth of usage and tested to see if there were any "dead pixels" as I've been reading from some buyers, I did not find anything wrong while running a screen test for 5 hours worth of on/off/whites/colours etc.
You can definitely set the monitor to 144MHz refresh over, DVI, HDMI, DP. No real calibration needed it was pretty on par whit the gamut of colour in the RGB Adobe sense. Colour representation is very spot on.
What about Freesync? I'm connected via DP, enabled FreeSync on the monitor and then into my Radeon settings hold and behold the settings could be toggled on. The screen flickers a few time, change the refresh rate back to 144MHz and we are good to go.
Played Overwatch, Skyrim, Apex, Anthem and the buttery smooth feeling is pretty epic when coming from a standard 23.9-inch monitor.
Sceptre isn't a well-known brand as you may be well aware we tend to see brands like Dell, HP, LG, Samsung, Asus, Acer...
Spec wise the monitor does 1920x1080 which is a nice HD display monitor in full 1080P glory, offering FreeSync, 3ms response time, 144Hz refresh rate, DVI, HDMI and Display port. The added screen speaker is nice, but it's not needed in my case. I prefer the use of my M&D H30.
This is not a 4K monitor. I didn't see the point of doing 4K on something like a 27-inch monitor, I could see 4K if my screen was larger than 32-inch and if I was 3 meters away from the thing, but if I'm just half a meter away from the screen there's literally no difference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buen producto

5.0 out of 5 stars Great monitor for the price!
Pattern: MonitorVerified PurchaseI purchased this monitor for a new gaming set up and didn't want to break the bank. Its a great monitor and I havnt had any issues. Its been 3 months and it runs strong. The colors are great and I didn't have any broken pixels or anything. The stand is robust and fits nicely on my desk and meets all my needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO VESA MOUNT
Pattern: MonitorVerified PurchaseI'll start off by saying this monitor is great for the price, has good picture when set to movie mode, and 144hz works fine if you know what you're doing.
I had no issues with it until tonight, when I went to go mount it. At first I was annoyed that I wouldn't be able to mount it because there's a metal piece that sticks out (as I read in other reviews) but then I thought maybe the manufacturer didn't solder it to the inside so I might be able to get it out.
There are no instructions online to open the monitor but if you take out the tiny screws at the bottom then use a flat head to pry the bottom open, you can slide your fingers in ( ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )and just keep pulling up until you've pulled off the back plastic (only the thick part at the bottom, don't try to take the whole back of the monitor off) and unscrew the metal part as seen in the pic I uploaded.
Kind of a pain in the ass but for those people out there saying it won't mount, it does.
