I’ve been looking for months to find me a means to raise my 32” JBL tower speakers besides my sofa for surround sound. Most tower speakers are 3 feet or higher which should not need any height increase. My JBL’s are 4 inches shy of the 3’ minimum height needed to not have the sound muffled my my sofa as it sat too low. I could not find anything that would work. THESE not only accompanied my 9”x12” speaker footprint but allowed me to raise the height over 5 inches!
The stands are extremely durable, stable and perfect for speaker risers for an additional 4-5 inches. Assembly took less than three minutes.
If you do plan to use these as tower speaker risers, keep in mind the weight and tipping factor. You may wish to use two L-brackets screwed in any of the holes on the platform and rest the speaker between the brackets for stability. 44 pounds is the maximum weight allowed.
