We operate a medical office, and needed multiple privacy screens for employees. One employee already had the hanging type, and it is excellent aside from the dimensions (far too large for our 27" monitors). So after carefully measuring the precise dimensions, we bought 5 of these with confidence. After all, products such as this should be very similar to one another, aside from the size, right?

Not even close. With the hanging type, you can see perfectly through the privacy screen, assuming that you are sitting within the narrow field of the viewing angle. Whereas with this product, even while sitting perfectly still directly centered on the monitor, you constantly have to make small adjustments to see your screen. In other words, you must move your head around to see corners and edges of the screen. Also, the screen itself is quite a bit more blurry than with the other type even if you are perfectly centered. It does not seem to be clear, rather a bit of a haze covers the screen (and yes, we did remove the cling from each side).

Another issue, as seen in the photo, is the cutout. I don't know for whom these were originally manufactured, but for a modern monitor, a cutout is a distraction, not a benefit. Almost seems like they were spec designed for a system which needed the cutout.

Also, not crazy about the attachment system.

Lastly, and most importantly of all, was the poor protection afforded by these. After getting it perfectly situated (a bit of a challenge, but very doable), I moved about 4 feet away and to one side by about 3 feet to check the screen. It was fully visible. Dimmed, but not close to what we were expecting. We were willing to live with the annoyance of the poor viewing angle, but if people can see your screen then what is the point. I know that sounds contradictory, stating that it is difficult to see through and then stating that it is TOO easy to see the screen. It's simply a matter of being able to comfortably view the monitor while working vs an unauthorized person being able to sneak a quick peek. Yes, it's hazy from any angle, but it is viewable from practically any position/angle.

We rarely return any product to Amazon, because we research before we buy. But these are going back.

Fit my screen perfect. I like that it has two options of how to install. I work with photo editing at times and need to be able to easily remove it, so I put the tags on the edges of the screen and then just a couple of the stickies on the top corners to keep it flat.
