I originally bought the AMD Rx 5700 XT (Asus brand) but when I installed it Windows (no matter what I tried) would not recognize the card. I RMA'd the Rx 5700 XT and decided I would try another Nvidia card (Previous card EVGA RTX 2060 6GB non super) and low and behold Windows detected the card even without any drivers installed. Needless to say I was elated. I installed the most recent approved drivers then restarted the computer. I ran Passmark 3D benchmark and received a score of 16,790. I don't have to tell you gamer nerds how impressive this score is. This beauty scored 1,896 points higher than the standard FE RTX 2070 Super. This puts the card neck in neck with the RTX 2080 (Yes some games will benefit from the additional CUDA Cores of the 2080) but the increase in core clock and more importantly the Samsung B-Die memory is what allows this particular card to pull ahead of the standard RTX 2080. As far as I know the Z (not X) version of MSI's RTX 2070 Super is the only after market 2070 Super that has Samsung B-Die memory which allows for a total (and beyond) of 15.5 Ghz of memory throughput. The last MSI card I bought was a GTX 580 and that card was also exceptional. MSI has outdone themselves once again. I will update this review with power and temp figures later but as of now I am over the moon with the performance and build quality. The brushed aluminum back plate is something to behold. The RGB works quite nicely with the rest of my build. My build: I5-9600k OC'd 5Ghz Z390 Asrock Taichi mobo G.Skill DDR4 4000Mhz 16GB Thermaltake 600watt Smart Series 240mm MasterCooler Lite CPU cooler MSI RTX 2070 Super Z **Update** I have put this card through several burn in tests and not a hiccup. Max temps never reached 65C during two burn in sessions of 1 hour each. Regular gaming max temps of 58C. No problems with most recent drivers. Fan's only turn on while doing heavy gaming or while conducting the burn tests but has never spun up to it's highest fan profile. This card stays frosty cool. Most certainly the best built GFX card I have ever had the pleasure of owning. This card is truly a beast. Runs all my games at the highest settings (including RTX) at over 65 FPS at 1440P with all the eye candy on max. Most graphically intense game I have tried is CONTORL. This card managed to never dip below 65 fps in CONTROL with RTX on max at 2k. Extremely pleased. One game I was surprised to was a complete gfx card hog was World of Warships. Getting 75-80 FPS at 2k with all the settings on ultra. Game looks gorgeous of course but definitely a resource hog. World of War Tanks at 1440p all setting maxed got 135-150 FPS which means WOWShips utilizes some insane draw distances as both games use the same graphics engine. Conclusion: If I had to use one describing word for MSI's 2070 Super Z it would be "Overbuilt"; Just beautifully overbuilt with top of the line materials. The PCB is aesthetically pleasing with it's thick black appearance. The Bi-Directional and brushed aluminum back plate is just amazing. MSI obviously put some time into designing the back plate. The cooling system while seen on most of the aftermarket super cards is superbly put together. The copper cooling pipes running the length of the card are huge and given my max temps work very well. This card is extremely quiet and cool. If I had to guess this card will keep running far beyond its usefulness which should give many years of intense gaming. If you're looking for an extreme performance 2070 Super this is by and far the best in all the 2070 Super offerings given it's unique B-Die Samsung ram and factory OC.

Fans are quiet under load, no whirring or whining sounds, just a whooshing when they're at high RPM.
Runs incredibly cool with custom fan curve.
Clock speeds ran higher than advertised out of the box(!!!).
1440p high refresh is easily achievable even at max settings.
Many games can comfortably run in 4K.

RGB lighting is intense, but the Dragon Center app allows full control of this and other features (lighting could not be controlled before an April 2020 update).

VERY large card - I had to remove the front fan cage in my NZXT H400i, but everything fits with the fans on the front of the cage.

Overall very content that I paid a premium to know I have the best for my desired tier of performance.

This card is silent in a well ventilated case to the point where it will stop spinning fans at idle. My only two complaint is the gpu has some serious sag and the included gpu bracket blocks the rgb on the card. My second issue is the God awful coil whine, even at idle is so loud I needed to block the back of the my case in the hope it would silence the wails of the trapped silicone

Paired with i9 9900k and i am playing witcher 3 now @1440p / 117-125fps (thx to netflix for reminding me to Play that beautiful game again) never heard a fan noise, this beast doesn’t get hot (i saw 62-64 celcius max on load) thx to msi’s beefy cooler... definitely recommended for anyone who needs a high class graphics card for 1440p gaming...
