You can't even hear it. I had to download the software and manually set it at 50% fan speed. Still couldn't hear it. I set it to 100% and then you can hear it, its equals the same sound as your a/c system running, so you can't hear it when your a/c system is going. To me that was everything.
Performance wise, it's... good? I upgraded from a 390X that I had spent $500 on about 5 years ago. FPS is double what it was and I was gaming on a 2k monitor. That FPS comes from everything at medium settings about 30-40FPS to 60 FPS at ULTRA high. I guess thats a bad comparison. If I set everything to Medium at 2K resolution im at 140-166 FPS compared to the 30-40 medium on a 390RX.
I'm not impressed, but I'm also not surprised. I did spend $400 on this baby. It performs as expected. I'm not gonna blow smoke at anyone and pretend this is the best thing in the world. I felt it was very well worth the upgrade for the performance I'm seeing and the amount of sound.
I've been an AMD fan forever, just built the computer with the Ryzen 5 3600 and wanted an AMD 5700XT. The problem was the daily horror stories of the 5700XT drivers, constant black screens, crashes, low fps on certain games and no ray tracing.
I can honestly say I'm glad I bought this over the 5700XT, I had the reliability of NVIDA drivers and I'm playing everything with 0 stability issues and butter-smooth fps with no hitches. I'd buy it again even though its the first time I'm team green. The reduction in NVidia GPU's price wise was a very smart move. Good for you to capture some of the AMD market that I so love.
