If you enjoy music, and when I say enjoy, I don't mean casual listener, I mean someone who has to have music around them at all times, you will love these. I have heard allot of top brand cans and I can say, none of them meet up to the hype, without naming names, cough..eats audio.. pho's, among others, and price per performance is not there. These on the other hand, live up to their price point. I'm not saying they are the best out there, but for what you pay, you get a great sounding pair of headphones. I use an android powered smartphone and I have never heard a pair of headphones sound good in them, this set changed that. Without making this article to long, I'm just going to run down the pros and cons as I see them after using these for a few months now.
Pros:
Not expensive
everything is modular, it all comes apart, band, drivers, wires
Very good frequency range, bass can get loud, trebles can get high
Volume only makes them sound better, they do not clip very easily
Stylish design, since it call comes apart everything can be swapped for different colors, check out their website for more on that.
Sound is more like listening to speakers in a room, versus having something jammed against your ears, they have great depth of field.
Cons:
Can get uncomfortable after long use, the cans don't swivel horizontally
They do not fold up, while they can be taken apart, the band is still huge
The wires that plug into the drivers can come unplugged, and I imagine over time if unplugged enough could cause connection issues with the jack, (potentially)
The inline remote only works 100% with iphone, android phones may get one or two of the buttons to work, but not all three, compatibility issues.
The cord could be considered to short by some.
* With the above pros and cons, you make your choice, however I have to say that if the Tracks HD, and Tracks Ultra sound any better than these, I may have to get more sets....

V8 VS V10
V8 Vs V10 I have bought the V10 a while ago but they were not up to my expectation. V10 were big and not as bassy as i would like. They were also not comfy, too tight on my head ( and i'm average, not a big guy ). That being said, the sound for everything else was perfect, but i like edm, bassy rap and i like my bass to vibrate my ears. So I continued my quest for headphone, I got skullcandy hesh 2, ( for 30$ i recommend them a lot, comfy, nice all around sound, bassy best in class for the $ ) Sony, beats ( only tried as i did not wanted to throw 300$ for a headphone... I stop my choice on earbuds S4i from klipsch at 40$ at best buy. Then the Soul Republic V8 were at a winners/homesense for 50$, I have saw a lot ( and i mean a lot ) of review on the net, and people often say they are more bassy and overrall better than V10. primarily because they work best with phone and mp3 that can't fully drive the V10 ( and that make some sense ). Boy they were right. A lot more comfy, Alot more bass ( maybe a bit too much ) My quest is done. Yours too, buy them. I have also the earbuds Soul republic AMPS I6, and i needed new tips, I just filled a form on their website and 1-2 weeks after they were in my mail. So services is good up to date. I am the type of person that want the best of the best, but this time I recommend the V8 over the V10 big time. I have not been paid or push to make this review.
