Surprising amount of clean bass and possibly the most comfortable headphones Bluedio have made to date

- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2017The Bluedio Faith F2 with ANC provides excellent sound reproduction in what must be one of the most comfortable pair of headphones Bluedio has ever made.
The sound profile is very pleasing with good highs, controlled mids and stronger bass than I was expecting given these are not advertised as having extra bass and that these are part of Bluedio Faith or F Series.
The ANC works well and is similar to that found in the Turbine T4s but the sound from the Faith F2 is slightly cleaner with more bass with ANC engaged than the Turbine T4s.
As to comfort these are amazingly comfortable.
The oval design of the the ear cups fit easily over my ears and the material and padding is incredibly soft. You can easily wear these for extended periods without discomfort or ear fatigue.
The included carry case is very nice and will provide plenty of protection for the headphones.
I am a Bluedio fan due the the quality of the construction and sound profiles provided by the different Bluedio series and, including the Faith F2, own several different models:
- Turbine T2s (my first Bluedio headphones)
- Turbine T4 (recently claimed by youngest son)
- Turbine T4s (recently claimed by oldest son)
- Revolution R2
- Victory Pro (the gold standard for clear punchy bass and sound quality in bluetooth headphones)
- Vinyl Plus (as close to clean, audiophile quality reference sound as you can get over bluetooth)
So having access to these other headphones I am able to make comparisons to models which are targeted at similar markets, price and features.
I also have several corded headphones, the Grado Labs SR80e being a favorite, but always limit my reviews of wireless headphones to other wireless headphones.
For this review I will briefly compare the Faith F2 to the Turbine T4s, as they are the closest match in the Bluedio line up, in the detailed section below.
Given that I have these other headphones where do the Faith F2 fit in?
The Faith F2 headphones will be the ones I will use when I go outside the home due to the sound quality and availability of noise cancellation if I need it.
Now for a more detailed look at my impressions of the Bluedio Faith F2 headphones.
Packaging
The usual Bluedio presentation is present, which is to say it is far above what others provide.
The magnetic closure on the inner box is an example of this level of detail Bluedio puts into it’s presentation.
All of the items are packaged securely with no rattling or loose items. There is a place for each item in the packaging which adds to the security and high end feel.
Construction
Bluedio makes good use of metal in construction at stress points which makes the headphones feel sturdy.
The joints and pivot points do not feel they will break anytime soon due to this use of actual metal.
Even the buttons are well made, fit securely and provide good tactile feedback.
The band and ear-cup material are of very good quality with ample padding.
Comfort
For me these are over ear headphones and adjusted easily to a comfortable fit.
The ear cup padding is very soft feeling and did not get too hot with extended use.
And I found the clamping force just enough to ensure a good fit but not feel vise-like.
Ease of Use
The Bluedio Faith F2 paired quickly and on first try (tested on several devices). They will also auto-connect to your paired device when you turn them on without additional manual steps.
The buttons are in easy to reach positions and provide good tactile feedback
Charging with the USB-C port worked as expected and was able to charge from laptop and generic USB chargers without problems
Bluetooth Quality
As noted in the previous section pairing was quick and easy on devices running IOS, Mac Os, Windows 10 and android (my version is Android 6.0.1)
The bluetooth range is excellent in almost all environments and depending on the device I was using I was able to walk into any room in my house, both upstairs and downstairs without losing the connection.
Also of note is that there is no lag or delay when watching video
Sound Quality in Normal mode
I listened to different genre of music to get the best impression of how the Faith F2 would handle different type of music.
From a personal perspective my usual music taste is leans toward music with multiple and complex layers of sound preferring highs and vocals over exaggerated bass but I can appreciate good music no matter what type it is.
I found the overall sound profile tends toward a balanced sound without overly reshaping the response to allow the original engineering of the music to come through
More specifically the highs are well controlled and pleasant when listening to classical music. The vocals clean and slightly more present than expected but that is also a function of what type of music you listen to and how the original recording was engineered. While not being “bass-head” headphones the bass is unexpectedly strong, pleasing and is what I tend to call appropriate.
If you push them, the volume can get very loud and reached levels high enough that I personally found uncomfortable when set above 50%
Sound Quality in ANC mode
There is no way around it, ANC use will compress the sound of the music. This is an expected effect of how any active noise cancellation technology works and I have experienced it to one degree or another on every pair of active noise cancelling headphones I have used.
What you will most likely notice is that the highs and bass are somewhat compressed with ANC active. The soundstage is also much smaller sounding.
I used ANC successfully while riding in a car (was not the driver), at my favorite Starbucks and working in the yard with while using several different powered lawn tools and ANC reduced the unwanted noise.
Personally I would much rather loose a little dynamic range far more than cranking up the volume to dangerous levels to try to overcome noisy environments.
One thing I discovered is that on iOS devices if you select the Hip-Hop EQ setting for Apple Music most the dynamic range from Normal mode is restored and the unwanted noise is still reduced!
I would suspect that other devices with an equalizer function would have a preset profile that would perform similarly well.
To be clear even with an EQ is use I would not recommend using ANC in always on mode or in quiet listening environments (i.e. inside the home with normal background noise or library) as the passive sound isolation provided by the seal and padding of the ear cups are good enough in those cases.
Microphone/Call Quality
I tried the Faith F2 with my iPhone 6s and the sound quality, as reported by the persons I talked to, described as very clear and sounded as if I was using a above average grade external microphone.
The microphone sound quality results the same when using phone for audio only calls or using my MacBook Pro during live video conference calls.
While this could also fall under ease of use, the call answer/end, voice assistant (Siri in my case) and volume controls all worked as expected with graphical feedback on the device I was using.
Compared to the Bluedio Turbine T4s
If you are reading this review you may be trying to decide between the Faith F2 and the Turbine T4s.
In my personal opinion I would say that if the price difference is not an issue the go for the Faith F2.
I do not feel you can really go wrong with either as they produce nearly similar sound and ANC effectiveness.
That being said I feel the Faith F2 have larger a soundstage, produces slightly more and punchier bass and is more comfortable for me personally due to the oval ear cup design.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2018I'm new to the Bluedio Faith series but definitely NOT new to Bluedio. I've owned the Victory, UFO, UFO Plus, Turbine 2s, Turbine 4, Air (A1), and Air Earbuds (AI) series and I can, without a doubt, say these are the new standard for affordable wireless headphones. These take the crown away from the Air (A1) when it comes to "best bang for the buck." While the A1 and F2 are extremely similar in function, vast strides have been made when it comes to chassis materials and features. Please see my review of the Bluedio A (Air) Stylish Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic (Black) for all of the basics, as the internals of these two headphones are very similar. This review will mostly go over the changes and improvements made.
Bluetooth: As with all of the Bluedio headphones, the Faith series pairs effortlessly. The set uses BT 4.2 now, which is an upgrade, but I really wish they would of waited a month to release and implemented BT 5.0. Connection range stays around 40 feet, where it could be vastly improved if 5.0 had been implemented. Walls and floors still degrade range, but do not seem to affect max range as much as the A1 was affected.
Chassis/Materials/Build Quality: While I think the Air series still wins on quirky style, the Faith series is now the gold standard on inexpensive "quality." The chassis is now made of far more premium materials than the old A1 series. Where there was shiny plastic and chrome, there is now aluminum and a harder matte poly. Does that mean these are tougher than the old A1? Probably not, the A1s were beaten to death over the last year and show almost no wear. But the Faith series "looks" like a $200 set of headphones, while the A1s do not. Another feature that is new to the budget Bluedio is the ability for the ear cups to rotate flat instead of flipping/folding up (reference pictures). This is important because the headphones now take up much less room in their semi-hard case in a backpack than the A1. It makes them even better for plane trips!
Battery: Sadly, this is one area where two steps have been made... backward. It is possible that battery life is affected by the inclusion of ANC. Or it is possible that battery size needed to be reduced in order to fit the ANC tech. Either way, rated battery life has been reduced from 20 hours to "about 16" and realistic max times have dropped from 30 hours (A1) to around 24 (F2). One of the best things about the A1 series was its ability to outlast just about any other budget headphone, and that has not changed. The A1 easily outlasts the F2 in battery life.
Sound Quality: While the Faith series still uses the same single 57mm driver in each cup, there is one area that has improved immensely over the A1. The Faith series now has ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). The technology makes plane trips so much better than using the A1. Where the A1 relied on volume to block out aircraft or background white noise, the Faith uses an active noise-canceling tech to effectively reduce background white noise. This tech is not the same as "shooting/sport" headphones like Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Sport Sound Amplification Electronic Shooting Earmuff, Classic Green (R-01526) and as such, should not be used for shooting events or something similar. The only downside to ANC, from experience, is that it tends to wash out highs and lows, sometimes badly. The Faith, thankfully, does not suffer from this problem much, but it IS present. It is recommended to not use ANC unless you need it, such as on a plane. With ANC turned off, the sound quality is similar, if not slightly improved, over other Bluedio 57mm headphones like the A1, T2, and T4. With ANC off, bass and treble are both fairly impressive. With ANC on, both highs and lows are slightly muted in favor of a more flat reproduction, but with the tradeoff of a more "isolated" listening environment.
Accessories: The Faith series continues upon Bluedios efforts to impress in the packaging and accessories department. The Faith series uses USB-C, arguably a vast improvement over the Micro USB used in the A1 and similar headphones. A USB-C to USB-A cable and USB-C to 3.5mm cable are included. The semi-hard case is flat black with red trim, functional and stylish. There is a small zip up soft case for the cables.
In summary, the F2 makes great improvements over the other Bluedio budget series, the Air and Turbine. Are they the perfect headphones? No, not even close. But they are just about the definition of the perfect "Budget" travel headphone. I get asked by at least one Bose QuietComfort owner per month (I travel a lot!) what headphones I'm using, and I generally let them try them to compare the two. Having tried both myself, I really can't tell a significant difference (definitely not a 150 dollar difference). And the Faith series definitely holds it's own in a style showdown with the popular Bose headphones as well.
Depending on your budget, your sound quality desires, your style preferences, and how much weight you find comfortable, a buyer has 4(or 5) good Bluedio choices:
30-50 Dollars: Bluedio A (Air) Stylish Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic (Black)
60-70 Dollars: This product, the Faith F2 series
80-90 Dollars: Bluedio U (UFO) PPS 8 Drivers Over-ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphone with Mic(Black)
130-180 Dollars:Bluedio U Plus (UFO) Pro Extra Bass Wireless Bluetooth PPS12 Drivers Over-Ear DJ Headphones (Black) OR Bluedio V (Victory) Pro Patented PPS12 Drivers Wireless Bluetooth headphones (Black)
The more expensive models, like the Victory or UFO U Plus, are much heavier than the more inexpensive models, mostly because of added drivers. But, the sound quality is immensely improved over the cheaper, 57mm driver models like the Air or Faith series.
5.0 out of 5 starsI'm new to the Bluedio Faith series but definitely NOT new to Bluedio. This review will mostly go over the changes and improvements made.Need a budget (or even midrange) BT headphone for plane trips or noisy environments? I have "Faith" that you'll look no further.
Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2018

5.0 out of 5 stars Wireless Bluedio Headphones Is Just Getting Better And Better
I currently own the Bluedio T4S Turbine/Superior White headphones and because that blew my mind, I decided to purchase other Bluedio headphones.
Now, with this Black Bluedio F2, The first thing that I noticed when I opened the package was the hard case for the headphones. The T4S has a very velvety soft pouch with a divider but this F2 has a hard case with a divider, plus a mini case to place the USB cord and the audio cable. On top of that, it also has a silver buckle for accessibility just in case you want to hook it on your bag pack or bike or wherever.
It has a mini pouch on the side of the box for the manual. Fancy! That is the presentation.
Like the T4S, it has metal build supporters and the numbers on it are engraved. The ear pads s are oval unlike the round ones the T4S have but the protective cushion cups are still fluffy and very comfortable to wear.
It has a great sound quality! I personally prefer the bass in Bluedio Faith 2 F2 compared to my previous Bluedio T4S. The bass is amazingly fuller and has a superb build quality. It does neither sound sharp nor cracky at all. Which is an advantage!
Just like the T4S, my Bluedio F2 connects surprisingly easy to several devices – my phone, laptop, computer or other phones. It just picks up easily the devices it has connected before. The handy buttons on the side make it accessible to adjust the volume or skip tracks right from the headphones. The range seems for the Bluetooth is the same as the T4S, which is around 30 feet. It works excellent with over the headphone calls as well. It is just clear as!

Who Is the Product For?
• If you are thinking of buying the expensive Beats by Dre or Skull candy but doesn’t have enough budget for that, then purchase the Bluedio F2 or any Bluedio merchandise, they have an awesome range of quality bass headphones.
• If you currently own a Bluedio headphone, this item is still worth purchasing
Just like last time, I was expecting a lot from Bluedio and they never let me down. Bluedio keeps on meeting my expectations and standards, which I am really impressed with. The item is definitely worth the money as well. Now, my boyfriend has been using my Bluedio F2 more than his expensive headphones he bought at Harvey Norman which I find funny. If only, I would love to give all of my friends and family members with this set of cuties. With the price that you are paying, you just can’t complain. Totally worth it!

Bluedio T4S (Turbine) Active Noise Cancelling Over-ear Swiveling Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic (White)
- MikeReviewed in Canada on October 24, 2017
5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound. ANC works great. Comfortable design. Not a fan of type-C charging.
- The first thing I noticed in this headphone is the oval earpieces. Most headphones have round earpieces. The oval design ensures that the headphone cups the ears completely, and that means the ears don't hurt as much as they would if these were on-ear headphones which press against the ears. So, I like this oval earpiece design, which shows that clearly a lot of thought was put into the design to make sure the headphone is comfortable. And, the oval design succeeds in making the headphone comfortable.
- If the oval design was not enough, the earpieces have a very good padding. The top part that rests on the head also has a good amount of padding. So, the headphone does not hurt my ear or my head even when I wear this for extended duration. I have watched entire movies wearing this headphone, and I have not felt uncomfortable. So, the padding is good enough for the purpose.
- The small slider on the right earpiece activates and deactivates the noise canceling technology. The one issue I noticed with this is that when I deactivate the noise cancellation the volume of the audio reduces dramatically and becomes very faint. But, the volume is back to normal if I activate the noise cancellation. So, in a way, I don't really have a choice and I have to always use the nloise cancellation feature if I want to hear the audio at good decent volume. I don't know if this happens only in the headphone I received or if that happens in the ones other people also received. If it happens in all Bluedio F2 headphones, then there could be a design/manufacturing issue with the noise cancellation feature. Maybe the manufacturer needs to look into this.
- The second significant feature that I noticed is the type-C USB charging in this headphone. I don't understand why this was necessary. I prefer my headphones to have micro-USB charging port so that I can use my android charging cables for my headphones. Having a type-C cable is a pain for people who don't use Apple products, and may have to purchase cables if this one gets lost. I don't like the use of type-C charging.
- The best thing about this headphone is the sound quality. It has a great muted bass which only gets better when I increase the volume. Even at the higher volume levels, the bass is so true and won't burst my eardrums. It is very stable. The treble is good. The overall audio is very stable even at higher volumes. I don't hear any static or unnecessary vibrations at higher or lower volumes. Although I cannot hear every single instrument in my music, the overall clarity of sound is amazing.
- The headphone connects instantly to all my devices and the connection stays stable as long as I don't go hide behind obstructions like walls. In the open, the connection does not break even when I go 25-35 feet away. It stays connected, and that's great. The connection does not break even when I go behind walls if the headphone is freshly charged. But, the connection starts breaking if I go behind walls when the headphone does not have a lot of charge left. So, the point is, the headphone has great range and connection is stable if it has more battery power left. Range and connection both start suffering when the battery loses power and needs to be recharged. In overall, I am quite satisfied with the range.
MikeGreat sound. ANC works great. Comfortable design. Not a fan of type-C charging.

5.0 out of 5 stars Muy muy buenos.
PROS:
