They're not anything special by way of noise cancellation, but they fit snugly enough in ear to naturally isolate sound to the audio source. Okay, so for this review, I'm comparing these to an almost visually identical brand that I've used for the past year, Uiisii earbuds. Uiisiis are very good quality for a low price and a single pair lasted me for 11 months of heavy use without breaking.
I have to say, I'm surprised with what I got for half the price of a pair of Uiisii earbuds (and I believe the price of that brand has gone up in the past year, so it would be less than half now.) Sound quality is near-identical. Which is to say, very good for the price, very crisp, and not too treble-y. Noise cancellation works very well so far, I can hardly hear anything when I have these in, which is a major reason I chose these. They also came with a little zipper carrying case which is pretty nice, too.

As far as things I dislike, I immediately replaced the rubber tips that go in your ears with the ones that I had left over from my broken Uiisiis, as I do not like the feel of the ones that came with this brand. The cord feels more flimsy than my last pair of earbuds, and has a ribbed, wavy sort of texture down the length that I do not care for. Not a dealbreaker for me, but if you have tactile issues, you may want to be aware of that. The button on the right earbud cord has only an "answer call" function, which does not double as a play/pause button, unlike my old earbuds.

I have a good external mic, so I haven't tested the microphone feature yet and don't plan to anytime soon.

My biggest concern is the cord breaking, as I have terrible luck with that and plan to use these for everyday use, both indoors and out of the house. If I run into any problems, I'll update this review to add that.

Overall, these seem like a solid pair of earbuds if you're on a budget and don't want to sacrifice sound quality. I would recommend them.

Downgrading further after 2nd pair last only a month. 1st was good for 10. Shorted out this time just above the jack, when I was just sitting on the bus, and for some reason the right earpiece had been at a lower volume since I got it. But it's the left that shorted! I'd totally forgotten about the splice zapping me, I'm pretty sure that was a short lived anomaly as I usually run the cord under my shirt at work, and always. It stopped somehow. Wish I had noticed that their packaging included an extra 6 month warranty if I had registered my headphones on their website, plus free returns during that period. These easily broke within that period.

**Original review, 08/18** Great overall sound and comfortable fit. Cords aren't bad at staying untangled if you don't just toss them in yer bag. Cord is short for my taste, but I should've checked that before purchasing. Case is nice, but far from water resistant. I keep my backup Samsung headphones in there. Sound is rather well-balanced and clear on podcasts and kicks on electro and hip hop. I find earbud fit is important for noise isolation (these are not canceling headphones, this product is mislabeled) and I switched to the largest size to get a strong seal. I use these mostly on my bike and they block out wind noise coming from vibrations in the cord much better than stock Samsung and many others I've used. But I'm really annoyed to find out that when I'm fast charging my phone with these headphones threaded under my shirt (as I always do so they don't snag while cycling or working) I get zapped a bit from the metal rings on the splice where the two headphones split off, right between my shoulder blades. There's a short in there somewhere. There's no reason this should be happening. This won't be a problem for most people, but if you use your headphones while charging as I do, prepare to get a bit of a shock. Switching to slower charging with other cables or from a battery bank solves the problem, but I'd like to be able to quick charge while listening to music without having to rethread my headphones outside of my shirt.

I got these for my daughter because she is very picky about headphones and earbuds. One of her ears is slightly malformed and regular earbuds are painful. I've also noted that regular earbuds are not nearly as comfortable as these, which are ergonomically designed for comfortable wear.
